Nancy Frago

Nancy was born in Guatemala, one of 6 children. Nancy and her siblings were left with relatives in Guatemala as her parents traveled to the USA to fill out the applications and go through all the processes necessary for the family to legally emigrate to the United States. She was 6-years old when her parents settled in Thousands Oaks, California. Her family still resides there today.

At age 15, Nancy became pregnant, and gave birth to a baby girl by age 16. By age 19, Nancy was a mother of a 3-year old toddler, a new born son Sebastian and a military wife. Nancy moved to Southern Nevada with her then husband due to military relocation in 2000. Nancy has called Henderson home for 23 years.

By age 29, Nancy was a single mother with three minor children. Ms. Frago began working for Sprint in 2000 and studied electrical engineering with an emphasis in telecommunications at CSN. In 2004, Nancy was promoted as the first Hispanic for Sprint’s Business division. In 2005 Nancy was recruited by Verizon Wireless and worked alongside federal agencies such as FBI, Secret Service, US Marshals and many other intelligence divisions. In 2013 Nancy decided to make a career change and is the top 1% sales in her career for Hilton Grand Vacations for the last decade.

Ms. Frago’s immediate family includes her three children, Shaylene, Sebastian, and Sophia, and she is not only dedicated to her family but her community as well. She has served on the board of directors for the Latin Chamber of Commerce, and the American Red Cross. Ms. Frago was a first responder on the horrific night of October 1, 2017, that struck Las Vegas and served as a translator to victims. Ms. Frago has also served on the executive board for the Embracing Project, which is focused on our youth within Southern Nevada and internationally. Ms. Frago has served as Vice Chair for the Asian Chamber of Commerce Foundation. In March 2012 Ms. Frago was appointed by Henderson’s City Council to the city of Henderson Citizens Advisory Committee.

Nancy was recognized by Commissioner Weekly as Hispanic of the month September of 2011. Ms. Frago’s name is engraved in the American Red Cross headquarters in our nation’s capital across from the White House as a founding member for the American Red Cross Southern Nevada Tiffany’s Circle, a society of women leaders. Ms. Frago was also featured in the first 2012 inaugural edition book of Las Vegas Latino Leaders. Ms. Frago was also appointed in June 2018 by Henderson City Councils as a member to the city of Henderson Comprehensive Plan Implementation Advisory Committee for a three-year term. Nancy also serves on the UNLV diversity board of directors and Living Grace Board of directors.

Ms. Frago’s passions include humanitarian, philanthropic work and giving back to our community for over 15 years. And on top of all this, Nancy is a brain surgery survivor. Ms. Frago had a cavernous malformation removed on May 25, 2021. She has a piece of her brain missing the size of a quarter in her back brain lobe with a titanium plate and 16 screws. Nancy also has a passion for Zumba and is a licensed Zumba instructor since 2013. She uses her passion for dancing, along with her fellow Zumba instructor friends to raise awareness and fundraising for local non-profits.
