Kechia Thomas English is a daughter, mother, grandmother, Godmother, sister, friend, servant, teacher and leader. She is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and has severed her sorority for over 37 years and is an active member of the Las Vegas chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Theta Theta Omega.

Currently, Kechia serves as Chairman of 20 Pearls Foundation, Inc. in Las Vegas, and is on the Board of Directors of Foster Kinship in Las Vegas, NV and Living Grace Homes in Henderson, NV. Kechia is a retired Child Welfare Manager having worked at Clark County Department of Family Services for over 30 years. During that time, Kechia worked in multiple areas of the department including, Child Haven, Child Protective Services, Permanency, Interstate Compact, Clinical Services and other divisions within the department; she is a past instructor of Human Services and Psychology at the University of Phoenix where she instructed for 9 years, and is currently in private practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a job she loves and has done for over 15 years.

Kechia also consults as an LMFT for agencies within the Las Vegas community. Having acknowledged her call to ministry and being ordained in 1998, Kechia currently serves as Co-Pastor of Victory Black Mountain Church in Henderson, NV, a satellite church of Victory Missionary Baptist Church where the late Dr. Robert E. Fowler, Sr., was its Founding and Senior Pastor.

Kechia’s love for people has been evident throughout her personal and professional life. She is a believer in life-long learning and a proponent of wholeness of mind, body, and soul. Kechia holds 2 Masters’ degrees, one in Organizational Management and one in Psychology. As a leader, Kechia’s mission is to enhance and strengthen the lives of individuals, families and groups through counseling, coaching and consultation.

She has 2 daughters, 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson. She also has an ever-increasing number of Godchildren. Kechia’s life scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our paths.” Her faith is her greatest asset and her gift of exhortation has allowed her to encourage others from diverse populations, in diverse settings and in various locations.
